Airbus A330-200 VH-EBB positioned Coolangatta - Melbourne this morning as JQ7991 in order to operate Melbourne - Denpasar as JQ1035. The aircraft then positioned Denpasar - Sydney as JQ7992.

Christchurch Earth Tremor Causes JetStar Cancellations and Diversions.

Multiple earth tremors caused the closure of Christchurch airport for a period today leading to the following diversions.

JQ249 Auckland - Christchurch operated by Airbus A320 VH-VGR returned to Auckland.

JQ251 Auckland - Christchurch operated by Airbus A320 VH-VGQ diverted to Wellington.

The following flights are cancelled:

JQ182 Christchurch - Brisbane

JQ182 Brisbane - Christchurch

JQ248 Christchurch - Auckland

JQ250 Christchurch - Auckland

JQ251 Auckland - Christchurch

JQ253 Auckland - Christchurch

Following maintenance Airbus A330-200 VH-EBF departed Manila for Melbourne today as JQ7992.

Airbus A320 VH-VQG which has not been seen in traffic since operating JQ81 Brisbane - Darwin on 9 December, positioned Darwin - Sydney in the early hours of this morning as JQ7991.

Airbus A320 VH-VQF operating JQ484 Newcastle -Brisbane diverted via Coolangatta for fuel today due to high winds causing delays to arrivals at Brisbane.

Airbus A320 VH-VFD departed Toulouse on delivery as JQ7992 today initially routing Toulouse - Dubai -Singapore - Melbourne. This aircraft is MSN4922 which was originally to go to JetStar Asia as 9V-JSO.

JQ12 Tokyo Narita - Coolangatta operated by A330-200 VH-EBK diverted to Brisbane. The aircraft later positioned to Coolangatta as JQ7991.

JQ20 Osaka - Coolangatta operated by A330-200 VH-EBB diverted to Brisbane. The aircraft later positioned to Coolangatta as JQ7993.

JQ400 Sydney - Coolangatta operated by A320 VH-VGF diverted to Brisbane. The aircraft later positioned Brisbane - Sydney as JQ7981.

JQ402 Sydney - Coolangatta operated by A320 VH-VQY diverted to Brisbane. The aircraft later positioned Brisbane - Sydney as JQ7985.

JQ430 Melbourne - Coolangatta operated by A321 VH-VWX diverted to Brisbane. The aircraft later positioned Brisbane - Melbourne as JQ7983.

Airbus A330-200 VH-EBK operating JQ11 Coolangatta - Tokyo Narita was around an hour into the flight when it turned back and diverted to Brisbane. The flight and the return JQ12 were subsequently cancelled. VH-EBK later positioned Brisbane - Coolangatta as JQ7992.
