VH-EBJ JQ26 Osaka Diversion.

Airbus A330-200 VH-EBJ operating JQ26 Tokyo Narita – Cairns was around an hour into the flight when crew needed to shut down the #2 engine due to a fuel pump problem. The flight turned back to Japan and landed at Osaka Kansai. The flight was subsequently cancelled.

JetStar Asia Airbus A320 9V-JSM departed Toulouse on delivery today routing Toulouse –Rome Fiumicino – Dubai – Singapore.

JetStar Asia to Launch Singapore – Guangzhou Service.

JetStar Asia has announced that Singapore –Guangzhou services will commence on 22 December 2011 with the following timings:

3K841 Singapore 2050 – Guangzhou 0040+1

3K842 Guangzhou 0120 – Singapore 0510

Services will be operated with Airbus A320s.

JetStar Trans-Tasman Service Reductions.

JetStar will withdraw service on the Cairns –Auckland route effective 30 October and on the Coolangatta – Queenstown route effective 11 November. Additionally frequency on the Brisbane –Christchurch route will be reduced from daily to 3 x weekly between 3 December 2011 and 24 March 2012.

JetStar A330-200 VH-EBR Enters Service.

Airbus A330-202 VH-EBR entered service today operating JQ15 Sydney – Cairns. This aircraft is in 42J/268Y configuration as per VH-EBQ.

VH-EBE JQ8 Sydney Fog Diversion.

Airbus A330-200 VH-EBE operating JQ8 Singapore –Melbourne (depart Singapore 6 October) diverted via Sydney this morning due to fog.

Huge Airbus A320 Order Confirmed.

The order for 110 Airbus A320s mentioned in the August 16 “A New Spirit” announcement was made official today. The total order consists of 32 current model A320s and 78 A320 NEOs for JetStar, JetStar Asia, JetStar Japan and the new premium airline to be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

Melbourne Longhaul Delays.

Airbus A330-200 VH-EBE arrived into Melbourne this morning as JQ1030, the delayed JQ30 of 29 September. This aircraft had been due to operate JQ7 Melbourne – Singapore yesterday which was instead operated today by VH-EBK as JQ1007. VH-EBE operated to Singapore as today’s JQ7.
