JetStar Asia Commence Singapore – Auckland Service.

The new JetStar Asia operated Singapore - Auckland service 3K401/3K402 commenced today operated by JetStar A330-200 VH-EBE. This aircraft had positioned empty Sydney – Singapore as JQ7991 yesterday. The use of a VH registered aircraft on this service must be considered as a wet-lease arrangement.

JetStar Tokyo Service Rearrangements.

In order to prevent crew having to overnight in Tokyo JetStar have rearranged all Tokyo - Australia flights to operate via Osaka for the next few days. This enables one crew to operate Coolangatta or Cairns - Tokyo Narita - Osaka and the return crew to operate Osaka - Coolangatta or Cairns.

A330-200 VH-EBQ Enters Service.

Airbus A330-200 VH-EBQ entered service today positioning empty from Sydney - Coolangatta as JQ7994 before operating JQ11 to Tokyo Narita. This aircraft is in the same 42J/268Y configuration as QANTAS mainline aircraft VH-EBO and VH-EBP and has personal TVs. In Economy these are activated by swiping a credit card.

 

JetStar Japanese Earthquake Diversions.

Following the devastating Japanese earthquake two JetStar flights en route to Tokyo have diverted to Guam; JQ25 from Cairns operated by A330-200 VH-EBJ and JQ11 from Coolangatta operated by A330-200 VH-EBF.
